09-21-2023 23:36The prices have been raised quite a bit. The merchandise is good quality with good range for sizes. The store is clean and staff are professional. The cashiers will let you know if you are available for any discounts, sale prices and persons over 55. I do enjoy this store because it is large and fully stocked with lots if interesting items.

07-17-2023 11:08Let me start off by saying thank goodness for this wonderful flagship Talize operation steps away from where I work, live u0026 play. The staff are all very accommodating with glimmers of genuine kindness which isn't felt in many shopping destinations today, let alone an expansive donation-run thrift store! Talize is where many of my millennial cusp generation have made memories while browsing through the endless decent options being constantly replenished along the aisles clothes racks, or where we snagged that perfect set of sturdy dinnerplates, retro table lamps and maybe even a couple posters for our first homes out from the nest. I regularly confess with pride whenever receiving a compliment towards an article of clothing bought from Talize. To be honest, a good 1/4 of my current wardrobe was once plucked off the affordable racks from this store. And the Halloween stuff! When it comes to the donation process, there's no better service for an anonymous as-is drop off service with their genuine appreciation and one coupon per standard sized bag of clothes. I've enjoyed utilizing their simple $5 discount coupon scheme on the occasional thrift spree throughout the many design changes. 😎 So yeee! Thanks to Huron Heights Talize for keeping it real and reasonable for all these years. 🤙

07-05-2023 04:58Talize is a pretty good thrift store, they let stuff hang around for a while which I actually see as a bonus for someone who is prone to impulse purchases. There's a good variety of high quality items and some of my favorite finds have been here. That being said, I've been buying less and less and its because it honestly just feels like this place has lost it's identity. I miss the old Talize, where you could find the most raggedy, worn down pair of new balances next to heels that still had the ALDO price stickers on them; roughly at the same price point. The Talize where they just kept half the item in the front if they really didn't want it stolen. These days you go to Talize and everything that would have once retailed for over $50 has a security tag on it. Items with original price tags seem to be basically price matched. Even stuff with $4 dollar dollarama tags being priced at like, $3.75. I bought a real fur coat here in 2018 for $30. This year I saw an Hu0026M faux fur coat at half the length priced at $80. I mean I get it, inflations been rough on everyone but like??? Feels like I have to be missing something. Maybe new Talize is actually paying people for their donations to help out the community, or just covering the cost of comprehensive benefits for all their employees. If they are, good on them. Otherwise, I wish they'd just go back to being an affordable thrift store again. Also, who ever is pricing the dishware here, can you please stop putting the price sticker over the manufactures label/stamp? I mean I'm sure you know your job better then I do - I'm just not very bright and I have no idea how to tell if something is oven safe if I can't read the label. still leaving 4 stars because there really is nowhere else to find a ceramic of a lady frog lifting weights.

03-23-2023 18:16I've donated u0026 shopped at this Talize location twice now. The donation system is nice, however you have to carry your items up to the door u0026 wait for an employee to come get them - you get a $5 off coupon for donating though. I always spend more than I intend to when I go thrifting, but some of the prices here are a bit ridiculous to the point I had to put things back on the racks. There's a good selection of almost anything you could think of u0026 they have fitting rooms so you can try on clothing before you purchase it. They have 50% off manager pick deals daily, as well as student u0026 senior discounts. The only staff interaction I had for both of my visits was at the cash register when I was checking out. I'd rather go to Goodwill or Value Village because they have lower prices, their donation system is a bit nicer u0026 the staff is much more interactive.
