Booked an appointment here for 5 o'clock with Aubrey about a week ago; had to leave work early in order to make it back across town in time to get to the appointment. Show up and am told too busy to take your appointment, sorry - then why take the appointment? Or at least call/text your client ahead of time and let them know. I have a super important event that I wanted to look fresh for (hence booking the appointment a week in advance) now I'm running around looking for a barber/hair dresser to do a last minute haircut. Very unprofessional and waste of my time.

Aubrey is excellent! She fixed my bleached hair and made it gorgeous and colorful! Going for MK BOTOX NEXT WEEK! SO EXCITED! IT WILL MAKE MY FRIZZY FRIED HAIR GOD WO CHEMICALS!... TO BE CONTINUED 💞

Avalon is one of the best shops I have ever been to. Great atmosphere, everyone makes you feel like you were their customers for years. Their hair cuts are always spot on. I highly recommend this place.

Keratin Hair Botox is a scam in this salon. These are the photos after one day and one wash with the super expensive shampoo and condition which was recommended by the salon Hassan was super rude on the phone when I told him isn't that treatment suppose to last at least 6 months, he started to yell and scream The charge was also a scam because on the phone they said 200-250 and after treatment, they charged $275 plus tips the hair cut and style which come with that were only trimmed when I asked why the over charge he also yelled and accused me of laying. watch out when you go to this salon

I've had my haircut here before my wedding and it was great, so it was disappointing when I brought my daughter here. We didn't make an appointment and they were kind enough to fit us in, but when they started cutting my daughters hair I saw her brushing her own hair, having very little done, and no hair wash (which I has specifically asked for since she wanted to feel pampered). I was surprised when she came to say she was done so soon, and the stylist said they stopped early since she wanted her hair kept long and would charge less as a result. Ok, that's fair. But when it came to $70, I was struggling to see the value, especially when they didn't wash her hair. I voiced my concern about this, but after the front desk person talked to the stylist for about 10 minutes, I felt like I was causing a huge deal. The front desk person offered to do a conditioner and wash, and the stylist offered to take more money off ($5 extra and a $10 off $100 spend coupon), but at that point I wanted to get on with my day and not further embarrass my daughter. Overall, I won't go there again. It's a shame because I don't think this is the norm, and they did try to remedy the situation, but $65 for a quick child's cut is not great value.

I don’t really do reviews but this one had to be done. I have been to numerous barbers/hairstylists in Calgary and Hassan is by far the best out of them all. He’s an artist who takes his time while leaving no stone unturned.
