Fred's Farm Fresh International Market

Sadly my last shop at Fred's after 10 yrs of loyalty. Same day purchased these strawberries are fuzzy. Asked a man why the creamer was $8.99? Told cannot compete with Walmart, understandably but i also not had raise in pay for 15 yrs so your pricing has gotten too dear for me. Won't bother wasting gas to try to return strawberries, once tried to return spinach that was old but told i just not know what spinach looks like. Oh right, a over 50 yrs woman that has taken culinary courses at George Brown u0026 worked restaurants in Toronto does not know what spinach is suppose to look like. Farewell Fred's, i will remember you as you once were not what you have become.

Produce is good. Meat is always bad. I'm done shopping here for meat . I get home and it smells terrible. Iv been local for 11 years and I loved it here. I don't know what they are doing in the butcher area , but it's obviously not right.

Sept 6,2022 .bought packaged green beans and went to use them the following day. Old beans hiding on the bottom and most beans had turned a terrible color and were unusable. That was just one day later! The store is crowded, produce over priced for the quality and produce that should not be packaged are probably hiding mold.

I love everything about Fred's. So much variety of fruits and vegetables. Amazing deli and butcher shop. Many grocery items I've never seen anywhere else. You really need to go there

I used to love this store until I tried to return a package of crab today that had a puncture in the package. It leaked in my fridge when I thawed it and more on my hands AND the manager’s hands while I was showing him. I was told “there’s nothing wrong with this” and that they won’t do anything without a receipt. I had it in my freezer until I needed it, how could I haven known there was a hole? Why would I have kept that receipt? I disagree that its “fine” and I’d love to see that manager eat the crab if there’s nothing wrong with it. There are safety concerns with eating food with compromised packaging, a grocery store of all places, should know this.
