Doug's personality is raw. He did his job but be aware that his approach may offend you. He was absolutely certain that my request to the crown would not be considered. Even the best can be wrong ... I know he never wants to see my face again. Truthfully, I felt that Doug was quite annoyed after I basically told him that after the $3,500 retainer fee I could not afford anymore. Like I said he is hardcore but I would definitely recommend him.

Have used Peggy twice. When you need someone to represent your best interests, she's the one to use!

I don’t recommend Peggy to represent anyone. My boyfriend called to set up a consultation and not once during the phone call or the confirmation email did it state I was being charged for seeing if Peggy was the right fit for my family law case. I was asked for a retainer of $2500 at the time of hearing this I informed Peggy that I would contact her if I wanted to hire her to represent me. I left her office thinking that she was asking way to much for a simple 50/50 custody family law matter. I decided I was not going to hire Peggy and returned to my search for a reasonably priced attourney. Three weeks later I received a letter in the mail containing a bill for close to $800.00. I called the office and explained that I was informed of any fee and that I’m single mom and that I won’t be paying anything. The receptionist laughed at me and said to bad and informed me that Peggy would be calling me. My boyfriend called the office and got hung up on. Fast forward to the next day instead of getting a phone call as promised I got an email instead. Peggy was extremely rude and didn’t even take the time to call me. Don’t go to Peggy she doesn’t care about your situation she just cares about your finances and that you can pay her. It is there job to inform potential clients that they will be billed for meeting with a lawyer to see if the fit is right. Go elsewhere in the city regarding family law don’t waste your time or your money on Peggy or the Andrews Benko firm.

This place is actually a joke, just received documents from mark hawkins and it’s a word template without the information filled in where it pre populates. I’ve actually never laughed so hard in my life, how unprofessional and illiterate do you have to be to not be able to fill in the “insert company name and number” section. HILARIOUS! If your looking for a lawyer at a discount Mark hawkins is your guy LOL
