McMurchy One Hour Dry Cleaners & Alterations

I recently brought in my dad's wedding suit which had been stored in a closet, in Portugal, for the last 61 years. The wonderful owner commented on the quality of the suit. I told him a little bit about the history of the suit as my dad passed away June 3/2023, here in Canada. When I picked up the very old suit it was beautifully cleaned and pressed. It is now gorgeous to honour my dad's memory. As I went to pay cash, I was a little short but offered to go to the car to see my mom for the remaining cash. This lovely man said no,and that I would pay what I had in my wallet. He said it would be in sentiment for my dad. This was a kind and lovely gesture. I was touched. I starters using McMurchy Cleaners a couple of months ago. I took several pieces of clothes (blazers, pants, dresses) in and they were cleaned and pressed perfectly. Recently I brought in some pants to be hemmed and I was so impressed with the work - very neat and at exactly the right length. One pair was a bit tricky because of a snap detail at the bottom and he was able to hem it and keep the detail. Highly recommend!

The owner Paul is amazing at what the does. I came here for the first time in a panic with my husband's groomsmen suit jacket that was butchered by another tailor. It was a hot mess, the seams didn't line up, it was wrinkled like foil paper, and it smelled like fish!! I brought this in on Thursday and the wedding was Saturday. Paul gave it one look and without hesitation said he could fix it no problem. I'm so happy we trusted him because let me tell you... The jacket looked like a brand new jacket when we picked it up. He carefully unstitched all the seams and corrected it, cleaned it, and even hand pressed it with his magic. AND as a bonus it was ready Friday morning as soon as he opened! Not only were we VERY happy but he didn't charge me an arm and a leg AND my husbands jacket looked the best out of all the groomsmen! They were all very jealous 😂 (There were 6 other groomsmen jackets that had the same issues that were taken to be cleaned at other dry cleaning businesses). Paul has so much passion and pride in his job that it shows in his work. Since then, we don't trust taking our dry cleaning or alterations to anyone else. Check them out... Took a dress to Paul for alterations a few days before a wedding I had to attend, and even though the alterations needed were a little tricky, he got them done well ahead of time and perfectly.
