Plato's Closet Brampton

This new location is much better than the old one. Lots of more room and light in there. The ladies working are very nice and approachable. I sold some of my gently used clothes, bags and a few shoes. They took about half of the stuff I brought and payed cash. The stuff they didn’t take wasn't in season; can't complain. I sold on a Monday; two bins took about 30min. The stuff they are selling is in pretty good shape besides a few questionable items on the floor.. all in all a good experience.

Brought gently worn clothes and brand new shoes that I have never worn before to Plato’s. They did not buy. They bought my sons’ old Under Armour track suit that was 4 years old and rubbles all over for $6.00. I am not desperate I will donate those clothes and shoes I bought to people who really needs them. All they want to buy is branded name clothing.

I've come into this location many times with my tote bag, have never been told I cannot shop around with it. I came yesterday and when I walked in, multiple employees saw me with my bag and no one said a thing. 15 minutes later an employee says they don't allow bags and i have to leave it at the front? Excuse me, but I have important and valuable items in my bag, I won't be leaving it with staff who probably have sticky fingers. In that moment, I went to the front with what I had, paid, and left. I will not be shopping at this location again where inexperienced staff don't understand customer service. Maybe management should do some training on how to speak to customers, interact with customers, and explain policies appropriately.

I went there today to sell some clothes, and although I found one girl nice, the other one I found very unfriendly and presented herself as superior. I am a strong believer in individuals working with the public not having to put up with abuse; however, I do think if you are working in a customer service position, you should treat those that are good to you in a decent manner. I was beyond friendly and this was not reciprocated. I asked her a question and she looked at me as if I was incompetent for not knowing the answer. I would not return there to buy or sell anything solely based on the service.

Very strange how this Platos operates completely differently compared to the other ones. I wanted to return a top I bought YESTERDAY however the paper part of the tag had fallen off while trying it on at home. I still had the tag and the receipt however the manager Erica refused to let me return it. Yet every other Plato’s closet was more than happy to let me return it. Not sure how this comes out of your pay check Erica.

I brought in some jewelry for trade in. The staff were friendly, polite and didn’t pressure me on any items. The management offered me fair negotiation and were very patient with me. The ambiance is quite nice and their selection of items as well as pricing is fair.

Total waste of time, if your selling items they are going to have you spend 30-40 mins waiting and then not buy any of the items( all items were brand name, like new) and was told after waiting that they were not buying items at this time…..??? I did browse the store while waiting, which is probably why they don’t bother telling you at the very beginning that their currently not buying items! Others that waited were told the same thing. A lot of clothing is overpriced, had stains or damage which was surprising! Don’t bother ….

Not worth selling your gently used cloths . Better to donate them if u only gonna earn $20-30 bucks for whole big bag full of gently used clean cloths. Even some of them were never worn . They Buy clothes for less price and sell them for triple price . Waste of time if u r going to sell ur stuff there .
