09-05-2023 11:21Went to the Garrick for my first time for the Pvris concert back in April, we purchased early entry tickets and had to wait nearly an hour after the time we were supposed to be able to get in the doors to actually get inside. It was pretty windy and cold outside and my friend and I both didn't want to leave the other in line to take turns to use the bathroom at a different building. Got no explanation from staff on the delay either. Pretty disappointing, otherwise the rest of our concert experience was fine.

07-12-2023 16:00I remember seeing Bas Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet here as a kid. Crazy to think this iconic movie theater is now a live music venue, but you know what? It works. The sloped floors allow a good view of the stage from anywhere in the floor area, and the seats in the balcony allow older and/or intoxicated patrons to chill out while enjoying the bands in peace. My wife and I caught The Crystal Method's recent DJ set there and we both had an absolute blast. The sound was crazy loud but very clear. The staff are very nice and the prices for drinks are in line with what you would pay at the average bar in this city. Highly recommended if a band or DJ you like is coming through

06-04-2023 15:25This place is pretty good. We saw two live bands here, on a Tuesday night. There's lots of parking within walking distance; about the blocks for $6. The line up was out the door and around into the alley but it was only a ten or so minute wait to get it. Same for they line up for drinks, super long at first but they work through it pretty fast. Inside the theater there's room for seating up top, about thirty rows and I could see the stage from every seat I sat in. The lower standing area has as bit of a bowl to it so it's easy to see the stage from anywhere. I would definitely see another band here, the venue was great and the staff is pretty good.
