BCAA Auto Service Centre

These guys made my day! What could have been an expensive and very stressful day became a real demonstration of what service looks like. BCAA first sent a tow truck and the operator wisely just re-inflated my tire, which had a screw in it, I went straight to their BCAA Auto Service on Hillside - half an hour from start to finish and my problem is solved. Wow!

My daughter travelled to Victoria a few days ago and unexpectedly the check engine and traction controls lights came on. She contacted BCAA and the car was towed to the BCAA Service Centre where it diagnosed. The warning lights did not come on again and the car was deemed safe to drive. A big thank you to the BCAA Team and Shak specifically for quickly resolving this issue!

As an AMA member seeking a second opinion on my dealership's repair recommendations, I was delighted with the prompt and reliable service provided by BCAA Auto Shop. BCAA Auto Shop went above and beyond to accommodate me on the same day.

I visited the BCAA Auto Centre today to take care of a matter that to which I had forgotten to attend. I was greeted by the friendly man at the desk who informed me that my wheel lug nuts could be retorqued immediately. This only took a few minutes and I was soon on my way. Although the situation with my car was incredibly unfortunate and stressful, Paul at BCAA made sure I was taken care of. My Ford Focus gave up the ghost and I got it towed to BCAA Auto Service Center to get checked out. Paul, who I spoke to and who was taking care of my car, was upfront about wait times and super friendly. The next day, I got sad news that my car's issue was PCM related, so the Ford dealers would need to take a look. Unfortunately, Ford was booked 2 months out, and I called Paul back in an absolute panic. This car is my lifeline. It's my first vehicle. It's a key part of my day to day. Despite my being completely rattled and not knowing what to do, Paul took care of transporting my car (even though my plan doesn't cover the full distance) to my home so I could figure out my next steps. He made the process as easy as it could be under the circumstances. Paul gave me good advice, was attentive, and took care of my car when I was having a panic attack about the whole situation. Thanks for the assistance, Paul (and I apologize for being such a mess over the phone)

After reading the reviews on here I’m shocked that Paul still employed at this place. You obviously don’t take what people have to say online seriously. I came in for a quick fix on my mothers tires. We weren’t even greeted or anything. We thought we were going to be waiting a while so I asked if I could get a coffee. He scuffed at me and made some comment about me being “cheeky”. I brushed it off. Then I asked if I could make a certain drink and he acted like I offended his whole family. I couldn’t figure out the machine so I asked for his help. He seemed like he was trying to intimidate me with his presence. My mom tried to be nice and make small talk, but he was just incredibly rude and cold. How can you have someone working in customer service with that type of attitude? I was thinking it may be a one-off until I read the comments and felt the need to respond. My mom says that’s the first time that she’s ever experienced someone like that there. She said everyone else who has worked on her car has been amazing. But this is my own personal experience that’s why I’m writing a 1 star. Do better BCAA. Do better…

If there were a higher rating than A+, then it belongs to Shak. He was extremely friendly, helpful and speedy to address my car issue. Would definitely go back with any auto problems - excellent customer service!

I have needed the services of BCAA several times in the past few months. All levels of service I've received have been amazing. The woman on the emergency phone line was friendly, reassuring and efficient. The tow truck driver arrived in minutes, and provided the help I needed in a friendly and efficient manner.. The guys at the auto service repair center on Bay Street are always polite and efficient. I was especially blown away by the level of service I received from Paul recently. He clearly explained the situation, and kept me informed every step of the way. I tend to be very apprehensive about car repairs, and his calm and friendly manner were most helpful and reassuring. His kindness and consideration were deeply appreciated. Trustworthy and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
