Château Bedford Hotel & Suites

Stayed here with the family and we really enjoyed it, room was really clean, comfy beds, good temperature in the room, great breakfast, friendly staff! We enjoyed the pool. We will definitely be back! We book a lot of crews for work here as well and they all love it too!

Overall we had a great experience but the room had a damp smell to it. The staff was great and helpful but the highlight was the food! The breakfast was perfect, and coffee was available in the lobby all day. Another plus would be the pizza place next to the hotel, Randy's,is fantastic!

The room we were in was okay, it looked excellent at first but the carpet was torn, there were drywall cracks and cracks in paint etc. You would expect this at a cheaper hotel, not one at almost 400 per night. They did have some nice touches, The breakfast was one of the best I've seen that was included. Overall, nice but I wouldn't pay almost 400 a night to stay here again. The staff was excellent.

Had a great stay here with our kiddo! The room was clean and cozy, breakfast was phenomenal, and the staff are all very welcoming and smiley!! We will definitely be back. :)

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable room, great staff, terrific breakfast. I rented a car this trip, so it was an easy decision to stay outside of Halifax. Tremendous value vs. staying elsewhere. I'll stay here again for sure, or at the other Chateau properties.

The rooms were lovely u0026 clean. The desk clerk at the time was very pleasant u0026 accommodating. Breakfast the next morning was great overall. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Bi-High u0026 central to the places we were going. It was an enjoyable stay.

We landed from Toronto in Halifax during the last flood a couple weeks ago. We were stranded, not able to make it home to Cape Breton. We called at least 16 different hotels but everything was full u0026 we had no choice but to stay at the chateau in Bedford. Our first offer for their last room was $700.. we were able to It down to $530 for 1 night. We had no choice but to pay. Considering the original price, we at least expected a spectacular room u0026 exceptional stay. The pool was absolutely freezing, even the other guests children commented on this. There was tooth paste spots all over the bathroom door u0026 mold in the corner of the shower. The tub didn’t drain properly u0026 the toilet ran for at least an hour after flushed. I have pictures of the mold u0026 bathroom door. We called to hopefully get some sort of reconciliation but they denied the all the complaints u0026 offered nothing to make up. The disappointment was real. Just a ridiculous price for a less than satisfactory stay (discounted or not).

Summary: this facility provides adequate lodging with more pros than cons, but falls somewhat short of the high standards of this venerable brand. Pros: Generous breakfast (hot items served by staff, and self serve continental items in dining room).
