Love this place! Have ordered a variety of large and mini size pies for gatherings over the past few years. Our favourites are: blueberry goat cheese, vegan chocolate hazelnut and blue Hawaiian (pictured). Have also recently tried the amazing montecristo milkshake made with almond milk alternative.

This is my go-to savoury pie shop! I almost always buy FROZEN HAND PIES (pictured are mini hand pies) so that I can have it fresh and make it to my likings. I have tried a whole pie before but it was too much content for me. The hand pie has perfect balance of flaky crust and juicy content imo. My favorites are chicken pot pie and salmon chowder. Carbonara and turkey dinner were good, too. For the sweet, I liked banana cream and raspberry crumble the best.

I ordered an assortment of mini pies online. The apple pie had almost no filling! I'm leaving 3 stars instead of 1 because the rest of the pies were good.

Large selection of rustic pies with a homemade feel. I especially love the thick pie crust. Bought some frozen pies to bake at home and they were just as good as the fresh pies. The goat cheese berry pie tasted just like a cheesecake.

The Pie Hole is probably my favourite place for pies! I've tried many of their sweet pies, though none of their savoury pies (yet!). They have some classic pies but also some innovative ones, and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Some personal favorites are the To Die For Banana Cream Pie and the Vietnamese Coffee Pie. Just note that they close relatively early, at 6 PM everyday.

A 5 inch pie is $14 and a normal size pie is $34. If you enjoy a 50/50 crust to filling ratio, this is the place for you! In the photo you can see the filling above the whipped topping and the crust below the whipped topping. I buy another item, like ice cream, pudding or whipped cream to use up all the excess crust for the sweet pies. They don’t have any gluten-free savoury pies.

I want to preface this by saying I had a pie delivered from the place, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere and service. My wife brought me the 5 inch Reese's Peanut Butter pie, even explaining that the staff member who helped her said it was the best one they had. If that's the case, then I'd be incredibly wary of trying any other product they may offer. The pie I received looked appetizing and was packed in a way that it wouldn't get wrecked in transport. That's about where the good ended. The whipped cream tasted like the stuff Dairy Queen uses, the pre made whipped product that comes in a see through plastic piping bag and never melts. The graham cracker crust was probably the hardest crust I've ever eaten. My spoon (I had to use a spoon since the pie was stuck in the tin it came in) couldn't even break the bottom of it without me using a ton of pressure. The cream cheese filling was airy, which was good, but there was zero peanut butter taste outside of the three quarter pieces of a peanut butter cup they put on the top for decoration. It was like eating a less sweet plain cheesecake. This leads me to believe that the pie was frozen for several days and then thawed out later, which is an absolutely awful thing to do to a cheesecake style product if you want it to retain any flavor. For $14 before tax for a five inch pie I was expecting something great. It didn't have to be the best thing I've ever eaten, but I was expecting higher quality and taste than what I can get at a grocery store. Save your money and try many of the other amazing dessert places in Burnaby and Vancouver. This place isn't it.
