Once Upon A Child

The store has mice running around. I went to see the shoes at the back and there were mice inside. I told the staff and they didn’t do anything about it. This is not safe for customers to shop around. How is this acceptable?

in regards to the mice situation, we apologize as these are coming from a food source beside us. we have not actually seen these mice nor evidence of them but we do have procedures within the store to control any that may appear. we apologize to the customers that are unhappy when we have to donate their returns. we have a procedure that we make 2-3 phone calls to the customer regarding their orders (which is kept on file) for them to pick up their money and returns of items we are unable to purchase. we are not able to store all items we are not purchasing from each customer as this impedes our business and we are subject to city bylaw fines. as well as, we have a policy that after 3 days of holding orders they are put onto a store credit which can be turned into cash and any returns belonging to the customer gets donated. regarding any customers who feel as if our staff has been rude or unprofessional, we sincerely apologize as this is a very busy time for the business and we are trying to ensure we can keep every customer happy and deliver speedy service.

Very Bad, annoying attitude of unprofessional staff. I bought a couple of toys for my kid. However, he didn't show interest in those, and I planned to sell those back. I visited three store times. Every time they said that they can't accept it today and come again another day early in the morning. I requested them that I come from a distance and it's quite far and difficult to travel times and again but they didn't show any relaxation and didn't accept the request. Finally, when I visited fourth time, they said to show toys which i wana sell them back. When they saw the toys, they literally refused, accepting them, saying that toys are not in complete shape with some parts missing. I was really surprised because I brought the toys in the exact same condition as I bought those in first place. But they were adamant that toys are not as they are marketed. They said that they only accept toys in complete shape. I want to bring in your notice that the same day, there were many other toys for sale in the store in incomplete shape with some parts missing, which means that they don't thoroughly assess when they buy for first place but if someone wants to sell them back, they make it an excuse. It's not a matter of the amount which I lost buying these useless toys from this store, but it's an unprofessional attitude that's really annoying. Thank you

This is my first time giving a negative review. The manager/owner is the rudest person ever. I can usually tolerate different kind of people but this manager I cannot. When you bring things in that are brand new, or in better condition than anything else that’s a instore, and would mumbled something underneath her mouth and make remarks. She will talk about other customers or their stuff in front of her staff while the store is open. I use to love coming here and buying things for my little ones. Don’t bother coming here unless you want. Really rude customer service.

Incomparable value, great quality. From newborn to 10ish years old. Nice place to pick up some everyday clothing, boots, toys, books or things for special occasions like Halloween. You can easily walk out with a half dozen items for under $50.

Last week on Tuesday, I dropped my clothes off for this store to choose what they want to sell and they never got back to me about when they completed choosing. As I didn't hear from them by Friday, I stopped by to get my clothes back. They took 3 of 7 items, paying me for the 3 and donating the other 4. I told the staff member that no one had called me and I wanted my clothing back. She told me that the store was having trouble with the phone system and I may not have received the call. She told me the manager would call me the next day but never did. I called manager Tammy today (Tuesday) and she was rude and unhelpful. She denied having any issues with the phone system and told me whatever issues exist had to do with my phone. As for getting my clothes back, she said I was out of luck and they had no responsibility. I say they are responsible and get 2 stars.

Amazing from start to finish. Went to sell clothes was greeted right away. Told from the beginning what that location is accepting, which is great because Ive gone to other locations that have taken everything Ive brought only for me to come back and pretty much take back all of it. Probably the cleanest and most well organized location Ive been too. Easy to find what I was looking for. Most polite and helpful staff as well

I had a wonderful experience at once upon a child selling my kids dance items. Friendly and honest service. They were quick to respond and everything was done within half a day. Highly recommend!
