10-20-2023 05:52This place is now closed. Anyone who left their belongings for repair here was not informed that this outlet was going to close. After a call, I was informed everything would be moved to their outlet in Colwood, outside of Victoria or it would be in their warehouse. Aside from that, this business has very unpleasant, smug employees as it is. I felt as though they were doing me a favour by bringing in my laptop that only required a new screen. I was given a quote of six to seven days for the repair but I had to inquire as to what was happening after three weeks of not hearing from them. I picked up my laptop in time. In less than a week the Yates outlet was closed. I then took my laptop to the computer fix-it store with the most stars...same day...fixed! I hope everyone gets to reclaim their equipment from this unreliable, irresponsible company. I'm going to follow up with a letter to the BBB but that's if they're even a member.....

10-11-2023 10:56Very happy with DTI Colwood (Chris). Instead of trying to sell me a laptop, they look at my current one and made improvements that made it faster and better, all way cheaper than buying a new one. Years ago, they replaced my laptop motherboard under warranty, a laptop that I have purchased in a Big Box Store that did not really care about customer service. This is the reason why I went back to DTI Computers and will go back again for all my computer's needs.

At 83, when my computer went blank , I felt as someone must if cast into the mid Atlantic with a leaky life jacket and a very small bottle of fresh water! They were wonderful to deal with, fixed ALL my problems very quickly and the cost for it was a really pleasant surprise. Thank you guys for the wonderful job you performed for an old man who barely knows how to switch the thing on. You go above and beyond. Incredible service and my sincere thanks.

10-05-2023 18:53I took my computer here four years ago. It had a loose hinge. They quoted it at $300 saying the cost was that high because they were sourcing the part from the manufacturer, which they later denied when one of them slipped that the delay was eBay's fault. They said it'd take a couple of weeks. I called them for nearly three months waiting for them to fix the computer, being dismissed and lied to every time. Eventually they get the part, but it's pink instead of silver like the computer. They don't even offer a discount for this. By this point I am sick of waiting and always having to call them despite them saying they'll keep me posted so I decide to pick up the laptop and take it elsewhere. I get home with the computer and realize it's completely taken apart and unusable. They had the balls to say they wouldn't charge me; charge me for what?! Dude, these guys actually broke it far more, turning an inconvenience into paperweight, they should have compensated me. I took it to another store in town. Ordered the part for $60, charged me $100 in total. Took two weeks. Additionally, their store is always a dirty mess. When you see computers and parts scattered across the floors, covered in dust, you can imagine how they'll treat your equipment. Avoid at all cost.

05-25-2023 07:32I don't recommend DTI computers. I brought my computer in, they did an assessment and told me the battery and hinge were broken. Stacey phoned me and told me it would take two weeks to a month to fix the problems. After three weeks, I went into the shop to check on the progress. They had to physically dig under a stack of papers to find my file. Stacey told me he had started trying to track down the parts, but couldn't find them so had stopped. He then said he would give me a call in two days to update me. A week later, and I never received a call. I called the shop and told them that I'd like to pick my computer back up, as at this point it had been a month with no updates from them. While Austin assured me that he and Stacey were still looking daily for the parts, the lack of communication and general disorganization of DTI made them difficult to work with. If I hadn't gone in after three weeks, I doubt they would have contacted me. Typing this on my phone as I still don't have a working computer.

05-19-2023 13:25They gave my power adapter to someone else, then, they lied saying that that person is going to bring it back on Tuesday, Jan. 03 and will be calling me to go collect my power adapter, but they never did. When I called asking about it, the person on the phone got angry at me. They give your computer parts to other people, then get angry when you ask about it. How professional

04-24-2023 18:50Don't judge a book by its cover. I have had only amazing experiences. Staff went out of their way to get me a low cost item. They earned my trust and loyalty when I brought a laptop in and they they told me how to go fix it myself because the job would be so easy. They have done a quick quality job every time!
