Canadian Tire

I regret to inform that our recent experience was quite disappointing. We visited this store on August 19th, 2023 and when assisted by operator number 4 with 2 large purchases (one over $500 and another over $1,300) were told that we were not able to do small payments. Knowing our rights we kindly requested to speak to a manager, who confirmed that the policy at Canadian Tire had changed recently and we were not allowed to do small payments anymore. Therefore we were obliged to pay it in a single transaction. After leaving the store we confirmed on the company's website that we are entitled to do up to 24 equal small payments for purchases above $150. When we came back to the store to address the situation, operator number 4 justified her actions saying that her manager was the one who instructed her into lying to us. We sincerely hope they do better and if you really need to do business with Canadian Tire, please save your self a lot of trouble by going to a different location, there is no customer service at the Scott Road branch.

I needed a lug nut to replace one that fell off and the customer service in the auto department was amazing. The parts manager, service advisor (Dave) and a mechanic all promptly looked into my issue and even made use of a tap and die set to find the proper thread depth of a sample lug nut that I brought in for comparison. The attention and genuine care I received is uncommon today.
