Dr. Paterson is King when it comes to everything optical related. I have seen him for almost 10 years and never had a bad visit. As long as I live on the Peninsula - I will never see another eye doctor. Thank you Dr. Paterson!!!!

Service has gone downhill. Called about sunglasses and was given the wrong information. Upon visiting was asked to take a seat even though I didn’t have an appointment. Asked about sunglasses again and their availability. The representative clearly wasn’t listening and answered a completely different question. Another rep overheard the conversation and answered the question. All in all had to go through three different people in one day to answer a simple question.

I had some problems with the glasses I bought. The first young dispenser I got was earnest by not very knowledgeable. When I brought them back in, Jennifer helped me and was excellent: knowledgeable and effective. When I picked up the replacement pair, Carey was also great: knowledgeable and effective as well as friendly of course.

Dr Gill is an excellent professional and also kind and personable Erin is great both on the front desk and behind the technology :) Carey made my day - she asked the right questions, listened and found many frames that could work - it was the first ones she slipped on that won the day. I recommend Oak Bay Optometry without reservation

I was very impressed with Oak Bay optometry. A magnet fell out of the corner of my glasses that is used with my attachable sunglasses. I was pleased that they did the repair job and did not charge me. They are as good as new and I saved a lot of money by not having to replace the frames.

I purchased my first pair of progressive glasses. Carey was AMAZING in helping me make all sorts of decisions. She is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Particularly I cannot thank her enough for her patience with me having hundreds of questions. Oakbay optometry team is there for you, and they make sure that you are happy with what you are purchasing. Highly recommend!!!

Purchased 3 sets of glasses over past several years. I am still incredibly frustrated with the overall experience, as I ended up with lenses that don't suit my eyes. Their sales staff were very helpful, but the optometrists were not. I suggest going elsewhere for a prescription.

I have been seeing Dr. Gill , the optometrist and Jackie, the optician for several years. Recently when I replaced my eyeglasses and sunglasses their new lenses did not work for me, initially. Dr Gill re examined my eyes to confirm my prescription was correct and Jackie worked with the manufacturer to determine the issue. It turned out to be the lens Manufacturer's problem. Jackie went above and beyond to problem solve, working tirelessly on the issue that was outside of their control. Jackie kept in close contact with me on a regular basis updating me on the progress of the replacement lenses. The lenses have been corrected and I am very pleased with the final product. I would return to Oak Optometry in a heart beat for the stellar service that I was provided.
