Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa Downtown

Very polite and helpful staff. Rooms are clean the bed is very comfortable. Nice big smart TV. The bistro is cozy and cute. I was there for Ottawa race weekend and I was afraid of the noise, but thankfully the rooms are well soundproof. Parking may be a small issue if it is busy time but the staff were very helpful in finding close parking lots (3 min walk). Very nice experience overall

I recently stayed here for a workshop. My hotel room was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Each staff member I encountered (except one) was exceptional and went above and beyond to provide hospitality. I found the meeting rooms we used to be a little dated, but still comfortable for the purpose. Food and beverage offerings are limited on the property, but with it's location in Byward Market there is a multitude of offerings around it within a short walk.

We had a really good stay here. We had a few requirements and the hotel were able to achieve them all with no issues. A huge positive comment to the hotel staff member who I think was called Simon, he was so so helpful with everything but especially the day we wanted to go to the museum, we needed a wheelchair accessible taxi and it took 2 hours to arrive and Simon kept calling and checking when it would turn up. He was so friendly and acted like it wasn't a big deal, but it meant a lot all the time and effort he put in to being super helpful and understanding. Thank you!

Location is great. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated. The rooms are dark, lighting outdated making it pretty dim. Windows aren’t very big for natural light and when curtains are open it’s looking at a brick wall. Even in the washroom it is notably dim. Our shower floor would puddle in the centre and water can’t get to the drain, without help of sweeping it to the drain. Bedside table for only one side of the bed. The hotel was clean.

The hotel was in general very good. The staff is super kind and very helpful. Rooms are cleaned not every day, but they are very huge. The only problem is that the rooms are not sound proof, I could hear all the noises and music from the corridor and from outside. When someone was moving a bed, my wall trembled. It's a pity for such a nice place to stay.

The location can't be beat with Byward Market just around the corner. They must have just renovated as everything looked pretty 'fresh'. Our room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the hotel pool quite a bit while hiding from the summer heat. We last minute requested a crib for our room and it was already there on arrival. They also had umbrellas to lend at the front desk (the skies looked a bit ominous when we were there). The Bistro also had good food at decent prices. There's not a lot of parking, but there are other lots nearby that the front desk is happy to help with.

Stayed for one night, all clean and comfy. I wish there was a door separating the closet and the toilet, and wish there was more breakfast options other than starbucks. Still, I would come back here.
