Stitch It Clothing Alterations

I needed last minutes alterations on a dress that I had to wear the following day on my mom’s wedding, and the results were just amazing. I had asked them to add sleeves on a strap dress, which they told me they had never done before but when I saw the final results you wouldn’t think that the dress was sleeveless before. I totally recommend!!

I just dropped off pants for alteration, and I was over charged for the order as the seamstress counted too many pairs of pants. They can’t do a refund, but gave me a ‘voucher’ (business card with a $20 and her name written on it in pen) for $20 off my next alteration. The manager is on vacation, so I can’t guarantee yet if this voucher will be valid. There didn’t seem to be a consensus among the seamstresses there on what to do, they fought a lot in front of me over it and were confused. A refund would apparently be a hassle with their bank, so I will update my review depending on how well the work is done when I pick up next week. Very chaotic, three women yelling at you at once over what the “voucher” entitled was very distressing. I am hopeful once the manager is back we can clear things up.

I’ve had many alterations done here and they always do a wonderful job. Recently , they altered a pleather Halloween costume for me and I was extremely satisfied. They made sure to set expectations of what could be done and I was overly pleased with how the end fit turned out. Definitely will recommend them to family and friends.

I went in Tuesday (Jan 25th) night and the lady, sorry I forgot her name, was super nice and friendly and fixed my jacket in less then 30 minutes while I did some shopping. Also she repaired it better then the manufacturer. I'm so glad my jacket is fixed now because it's a cold one today! Much appreciated.

I was in urgent need of clothing alterations that had to be done in 48 hours. Stitch It at Collingwood mall where is amazing. Manda was the seamstress that helped me. She is incredibly talented and gifted at what she does. Her customer service is impeccable. The alterations were of the highest standards. I highly, highly recommend this location. Quality work. Professional and lovely to deal with.
