09-01-2023 23:16TL;DR If you're not an experienced designer and might need help with selections, don't go here. I don't often leave reviews on Google, and if I do it's because a place has really motivated me to do so. Oftentimes, in a positive way. This is not the case here. I don't shop at Fabricland often, but I know they're the go to place for fabrics and fashion/costuming materials. My partner and I were there today (a Sunday) and were grabbing some materials for our Halloween costumes. Judging by the EYE ROLLS we were receiving, my inexperience with materials must have been showing. We weren't the only ones to find ourselves on the receiving end of one particular staff member's passive aggression (we didn't get her name) as we witnessed some exceedingly rude interactions between this staff member and her co-workers and other customers as well. I get that we were there right before closing, but if you work in retail you need to possess at least some skill in dealing with people. I would typically give the benefit of the doubt to most people, but after multiple snide remarks to those around her, and after reading some of the reviews here, I'm putting in my ¢2. She needs more training in customer service, or a different job.
