Coquitlam Austin Guesthouse

I stayed here for a couple of weeks in August 2022. I was somewhat hesitant because of some of the bad reviews. I found the place to be clean and fairly comfortable. The hosts were fairly easy going, and I had no trouble with them!! They were concerned about COVID, so had restricted use of the kitchen etc., as we ate out at a number of nearby restaurants. I would stay here again!! I think the best part was the easy access to shopping and dining!

Very rude and brutal people. I was witnessing The owner was very disrespectful to the travellers and they alway have fight with the guests for parking spot, for how long you take a shower, what time you can use the microwave and all other stupid rules . This place should be banned from hosting service. I agree with other negative reviews as I myself truly had the same experience as other people … would not RECOMMEND at all…

Not easy to get to by ground transportation. A long uphill walk to find out they do not accommodate couples. They only rent their room to individuals. Which seems I hospitable for a BNB

Worst experience ever ,the owner is so controlling and greedy . Too much to write about how bad this experience was . He makes you feel like he is doing you a favor. And you are not allowed to use anything,the room was cold and when I asked to increase the temperature from 17 degree to 20 he kept going about this is the right temperature and he had all thermostats in locked boxes so no one can play with it ,managed to increase the temperature using my glasses anyway. No soap no towels,bed sheets were washed but only one pillow that is flat . Horrible experience overall I would pay the extra 50 $ to get a proper room in a hotel. Honestly not worth it. more to say but that is enough. My advice to everyone is not to go there.

The owner is rude and picky. Felt uncomfortable for two nights stay. They force you to lift up and carry on your baggage from the from door to your room to avoid scratches on the flooring. No parking available if you arrive after 10pm and need to move your car in early morning. Also have to leave your room or check out right exactly before 11 with zero flexibility otherwise they come to you and knock your door to say: CHECK OUT NOW, it past 11 AM !

Absolutely horrible would 3not recommend from the very first day Kim was absolutely controlling went to come in what time to leave what to eat what to sleep everything he runs in like a jail not to mention the room listed it was not the room that I was given it was switched out on me twice he treats it as if you're doing him a favor there is absolutely no comfort constantly feel like walking on eggshells especially since there is signage regarding everything from the use of cologne which is not allowed to the 10-minute showers they say they have laundry they do not you have to go to the laundromat would not recommend do not stay here. Absolutely the worst people on the Earth would not recommend

Greedy and controlling. The owner man is literally crazy. He wanted to know what in the evening and threatened that he was not going to let me in because I might have a drink or two. Breached multiple rules by AirBnB and I am surprised they are still “in business” AVOID at all cost.

Absolutely the worst experience at this place. Avoid this guest house at all cost. 1- The owners who live in the same place are so rude , greedy and controlling 2- They make unreasonable rules for everything in the house and keep monitoring you and pointing you out for not following their stupid rules. If your shower takes more than 10 mins , the lady come to the bathroom and knock on the door telling you to finish the shower! 3- No refund policy! No matter how advance you cancel the booking . They take this as an excuse to steal your money! 4- inadequate parking spot! They wake you up in 8am and make you move your car in front of their garage door to the street 5- Most annoying part is the owners ( Korean couple) are very rude and have no manner and make the most unpleasant experience during your travel.
