Metro Green Dryclean and Alterations

I brought my clothes here one shirt hoodie and one beautiful dress that I have for few years ans never had problems with old dry cleaners but this people used whiting on my dress and now it is messed up. They accused me bring it like that and I know how it looked. They took video from when I came to get it while ready damaged and lied to the security. She gave me $21 that I paid fro dry cleaning and she was happy and fake old people I thought they would be honest. I have lots to say but im sure other will one day see the truth. You can see the last time I wear my dress had no issues. Guys be careful specially if is valuable clothes 😢😡😡

Brought in a blouse and jacket for dry cleaning and stain removal, cost $40 but none of the stains were taken out :( There were actually new marks (sticky spots like from tape) that were not there before..

I took a chance on this place despite terrible reviews. I left 4 items for dry cleaning and they separated them and lost one pair of pants. First they called to say I had to pay extra when I collect them, then when I went to collect them they charged me the extra money but only gave 3 items back. Then they tried to convince me that I actually only left 3 pieces until I noticed my pants hanging up on the rack in the back and they gave me them back to me. My clothes were not clean when I looked at them when I got home either. The staff are rude as well. Take your stuff literally anywhere else. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Edit: Gave this place a second chance and they double creased the lapel of my vest. It was so obvious. Whoever is pressing needs to be retrained. Original post: First they handed my husband the wrong clothes, thankfully I got mine back but somebody else’s did take a trip to my home. When I took my clothes off the hanger I realized that they had totally ironed a double crease into both legs of my wool trousers. The back left leg crease is slanted and noticeably off centre and visibly different from the other leg (which is also not correct but less so). The person pressing doesn’t seem to have a clue about the correct placement of a crease along the centre grain line of the fabric (which can be double checked with an old fashioned measurement) or how to remove an old crease line. It doesn’t ruin the pants as I easily removed both creases myself but fixing it myself didn’t save me the time and effort I was paying for, nor indicate the attention to detail or expertise I expected. This would have been a total pain if I had been trying to fix this in a hotel room while on work related travel.

Cited almost $200 to clean two dresses with nothing particularly exciting or difficult about them. No visible price menu, and reading reviews suggest completely different prices are being offered to others.

Went to get my pants hemmed. Other places take a couple days or even weeks. I got my pants from aritzia hemmed and returned in under 24 hours and for a reasonable price as well! Dropped off the day before in the evening, original pickup time was after 6pm next day, however I called next day around 11:30am to ask if I could pickup around 12:30 instead of 6 and they were able to rearrange my hemming no problem. Pants came back fitting perfectly and stitching was great! Will definitely be back to hem more items :)

It is my first time to use the alternation service with Metro Green. I bought a dress skirt with a back zipper in which the waist band is needed to be taken in. I didn’t know what to expect. Today, I picked up the skirt and tried it on at home, and found that it fitted me perfectly. I am very happy with the tailor’s measuring and sewing skills. They provide great customer services too.

DO NOT COME HERE. They destroyed my skirt. I had a very expensive skirt which i just bought and I asked them if they could alter it. It was a bit loose so I asked them prior if they could take it in and make it look good. I asked them prior if it will look bunched up or ugly if I took the waist in because I didn’t want the material to bunch up and they said no it won’t. They took in 3 inches of the elastic in and charged me $42. RIDICULOUS. When I picked it up, the slit which was supposed to be by my right leg on the side is now in the centre in between my legs at the front. Also, the fabric is all bunched up at the top which is exactly what I asked them prior wouldn’t happen that they said and confirmed won’t happen but it did. It’s bunched up at the front and sticks out. The side seams of the skirt are now in the front and back looking disproportional. My entire skirt has been ruined. When I asked them to fix it or give a refund the lady yelled at me and said they won’t do either and that it is my fault. She kept blaming me for being skinny and taking in 3 inches. Staff kept blaming me for wanting it altered. Kept blaming me for being slim. I explained to her that I asked the staff prior if bunching would occur or if it would look bad and she said she didn’t care since it’s my fault that I wanted the waist smaller so of course it would look bad. I told her if you knew it would look bad if I took it in why didn’t they suggest anything to me before saying yes and taking my money? I can’t even fix this now as they’ve cut the elastic to make it shorter so there’s no way I can just unstuck what they’ve done. I can’t return this skirt in the store nor can I ever wear it as they’ve completely ruined my clothing. I’ve wasted so much money coming to them. While the lady was shouting and arguing at me, she tried to grab my phone from the counter as well. Completely unprofessional and mumbling angrily in her language. I Will never ever come back and I strongly recommend you guys never come here and trust their services. They’ll take your items, charge a ridiculous price and will not take accountability to fix it. Do not waste your money there are other services nearby which you’re better off going to. Trust the negative reviews about this place.
