I took my teen for a hair consultation with Brittany and our experience was not good. My teen is trans and Brittany seemed very uncomfortable with that. She did not try to engage with my teen or put them at ease, and seemed anxious to be done with the whole thing as quickly as possible. As a result my teen didn’t feel comfortable returning to have a haircut, so we basically paid $20 to have the stylist make us feel unwelcome and came away with nothing but sad feelings of non-acceptance. I would not recommend this business to people in the LGBTIQ2S+ community.

In all the places I've lived around the world I've yet to find anywhere as consistently reliable for me as here! I'm out of Victoria now and really missing this place. (fyi I have 3b-ish hair that's had too many pyramid-ic cuts in the past..) I've only worked with Raja-Lynn Johnston, and she was always an absolute gem; she's been informative, attentive, and seems to show great care and respect for her customers and their needs. An overdue huge thank you for the great haircuts and even better conversations :)

I had the most amazing experience at WDYH!!! From the initial consultation which I found to be refreshing because Yolande took time to discuss her thoughts about how to proceed, to the time and care she took in actually creating my hairstyle-I thoroughly enjoyed it all. The music, the atmosphere, the professionalism and the amazing job she did with my hair was simply phenomenal. I walked out feeling like the most amazing version of myself-from the inside out! Highly recommended!! Worth the 2 hour drive!!!
