06-19-2023 14:06Upgraded rooms. Thank you very much. Pleasant stay and always friendly staff. Some issues on check out with billing which required following up a few times. Waiting on the final outcome. Some double charges were rectified. I would check any room billing charges before leaving, rather than opt for express check out. Other than that it was a great stay with the kids.

05-17-2023 19:36I had a lovely experience here. It was a bit tricky finding the place as it was a bit discreet. But when I arrived, I was greeted by the warm smile of the friendly concierge, Mahdi. It was a breath of fresh air to the city that I was unfamiliar to. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected, but I guess it was because it was in the city. The lounge area of the hotel was lovely and had wide spaces and was filled with beautiful sunlight coming from the large windows. It was the highlight of the hotel. It was very close to all the main shopping areas which was very convenient for me as I had injured my ankle recently. It was a pleasant stay.

04-14-2023 22:47Let’s start with the positives: The location of this hotel is practically unbeatable. You’re smack bang in the middle of the CBD with trams and Pitt St Mall and QVB just around the corner. We loved the location! The Arches Bar in the middle of the hotel is also wonderful and we had great cocktails there. They also made a beautiful gesture by providing a note and some pralines for my birthday which we appreciated a lot! Other than the above, the service was terrible throughout our 2 night stay. Upon check in we were told breakfast was on until 11am which was only true for the weekend, however, we checked out on Monday and arrived at 10:27am thinking we had until 11am but were told straight away that breakfast was finishing in 3 minutes. We did not even get an apology for the check in staff giving us the wrong information. It looked more like it was an inconvenience for us to “arrive so late”. The worst part, however, was only one functioning elevator for 369 rooms. Some people were waiting to get into an elevator for 45 minutes! You literally had to take the elevator up to get a space to go down. You were crammed in like sardines and the elevator would then stop on every floor: 25 down to 8! It got so hot in the elevator that my partner couldn’t breathe and another guest had a panic attack. We have never experienced anything like this - and shouldn’t have to, especially paying 5 star hotel prices. This could be a great place but needs some serious staff training and polishing up in the customer service department. Such a shame but would not recommend staying here in the current state.
