Nice people with a lot of experience... a lot of experience. The 1 star is for unapologetically not maintaining the estimated schedule (not actually starting) and pocketing the deposit. I was told it would take 1 week to disassemble/clean my lens aswell as dismantle/assess the condition of my camera body. Unfortunately after calling a couple of times for an update I was informed they had not looked at it after 2 weeks and said they couldn't even look at it after the 3rd. I had to cancel the job given my schedule. If you're like me and time is critical, you're better off getting estimated time frames directly from the technician and planning around that.

Always friendly and helpful. I live in Sydney but travel to Tasmania often, and its great to find a place where you can buy 120 film, camera supplies and get your camera checked out.

Can't say enough good things! Simon has helped me out with a few camera emergencies for work and has gone out of his way to get the best result. Highly recommend Walch Optics for professionals and enthusiasts.

Good for camera repairs, and second hand cameras... service is great really helpful..this is my favourite camera shop in Hobart.

We had a very pleasant experience with Francis who was super knowledgeable and friendly. I feel confident my films are with the right people, and my partner feels the same with his more unusual cine film.

Top business....I was after some unusual lighting for some articles to be placed online. Was greeted professionally and quickly handed over to the person in the business with the best knowledge to answer my questions. They had the lighting setup required in stock (unlike the other businesses I'd just visited who could order in but could not offer any sort of return policy) so I was able to test and confirm it would do the job. The price was fair and comparable with online prices but the extra knowledge and customer support was the thing that got the sale! Highly recommend!

Ein super Laden/Gallerie/Print-und Fotostudio ....meine Kamera rutschte mir auf einer Bergtour zum Mt. Wellington aus der Hand und eine Schraube fiel heraus. Der freundliche Mitarbeiter reparierte sie sofort mit einem Lächeln, ohne etwas dafür zu verlangen 🙂

Had my Fuji XT-4 sensor cleaned here. Can't rate them highly enough. Friendly, fast, and reasonable rates.
