07-17-2023 07:45The Lotus Galleries restaurant always maintains a high standard. The menu is creative and absolutely delicious, providing everything from snacks to large main courses. The service is spectacular, very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Ben was no exception today. The location is central to the Sydney CBD and the décor is cozy without being crowded. There is a good selection of beverages including some wonderful wines to pair with the dishes. We were a little disappointed by the Typhoon shelter bugs. One of the most expensive dishes on the menu, an abundant looking dish on arrival, but mostly shell with small amount of edible flesh. The flavor, like all their other dishes, however, was punchy and delicious. It is still one of my favorite restaurants and is highly recommended.

We ordered spring roll, siu mai, Lobster and prawn dumpling, dumpling 🥟 my favorite spring rolls and lobster dumpling. Dim sum pair with Jasmine. Will be back to try other dishes.

03-23-2023 08:15Great place to dine. Great interior and ambience. Food wasn’t too bad as well although it could be a bit more flavourful. We ordered: 1. Steamed half shell scallop with chilli black bean mayo and crispy wonton skin. $6.5 each (must order!) 2. Pacific oysters with finger lime, ginger and soy sauce $5.5 each (we enjoyed this) 3. Pork and prawn siumai $17 (moderate) 4. Singaporean Vermicelli noodles with prawn and charsui $32 (the least favourite out of all, tasted funny) 5. Duck fried rice $29 (cant taste the duck, but we prefer this to the vermicelli) 6. Chongqing popcorn chicken $34 (the most flavourful out of all we ordered, and tasted really nice too) My wife bought the Liven voucher and paid using it. Got a discount of almost 50% which is a great deal. Will come back again to try more variety of food!

03-08-2023 16:17Amazing service, nice ambiance. Dumplings 🥟 - tasty, well prepared, you can see them prepping front of house Fish 🐟 - cooked perfectly, classic ginger shallot seafood soy, can't go wrong Fried eggplant - standout, amazing, needs a bigger serving Peking duck - solid, but not the best, perhaps given the expectation given a signature from Lotus Chongqing chicken 🍗 - not pictured but we'll balance, great kick and again perfectly cooked Cocktails 🍸 - strong, meaning good! Overall, worth a visit for occassion given the price point.

02-28-2023 11:10Brilliant place to dine in on the occasion. The staff were helpful and proactive in topping up drinks and serving food. The food there was divine and very quick to arrive. The flavour profiles they had were interesting and incredible to indulge in. I would recommend getting the crab fried rice and the tomahawk if you’re after a staple and something more extraordinary. The Brussel sprouts dish and okra is just amazing purely because of how they taste and the richness of the sauce used. Would highly recommend if you are taking someone out on a special occasion or for a large gathering
