The Avenue Family Medical Clinic

Been coming here a while now and i need to leave a review because they deserve the credit! Moving to the area 6 years ago and struggling with my mental health. I was so worried about finding a GP who would listen and attend to my concerns. I have never left this medical centre feeling unheard or even cared about. I often see Dr Saru, Dr Visnu, and most recently since Dr Amsa has left, Dr Israt. I can sit and talk with them about everyday topics. And that right there, helps my anxiety. I walk out feeling heard, with my mind at ease. Not only are they great with me, but also with my two daughters.

I came in today for an appointment with Saru which was booked for 3:50pm. We were waiting for more than 15 mins in the centre. There were barely any other patients there. We came to realise the person who was talking to the receptionist was Dr Saru, she was there for 10 mins talking to the receptionist girls talking about how to scan something and other things. We went and told the receptionist that we have been waiting one of the girls said that yes she will be with you soon. Later we see that Dr Saru is still there taking to the receptionist girls. She goes into her room. We’re thinking that she’ll call you now. But she didn’t her room door was open and she was on a call with somebody. One of the receptionist girls went in there said something about making a call. She did not call us. It was already 4:15pm. We told the receptionist and left as we had anothet appointment. This is very unprofessional. We booked an appointment for a reason and the doctors itself is doing I don’t know what. I would understand if there was another patient in there but there was no one. So unprofessional, never want to come back to this place again. Such a waste of time. Now I wonder what excuse they will give. Don’t come here you will waste your time waiting!!!!!!!
