11-29-2023 22:33Just wanted to let you know that this place is pretty awesome. Not only is it budget-friendly, but the food is delicious too! Oh, and if you're concerned about halal certification, I should mention that the meat here isn't certified. But there are other options available, like the salmon bento. So, instead of going for the all-you-can-eat, you can go for that tasty alternative. Enjoy your meal!

11-07-2023 05:47I'm glad I went for the experience but unlikely to go again. We did dinner. The good - the wagyu was good quality, cooking on your own grill is great. Chicken karaage and octopus balls were delicious. The bad - they ran out of the drink hubby ordered and also bottled water, but did not offer me a glass from a large decanter that appeared to have chilled water. Instead I bought a coke, and hubby bought something else, both were not cold. They also had ran out of onion - it's 7.30pm Saturday mind you. Ordered a green salad - it was simply raw cabbage ina bowl. The toilets...OMG! Given a key with directions, exit the buidling, turn left, around the corner, past 3 shops, open a door which reveals a very old school building. From there, no instructions or signs, it's like a maze and hidden object game with very dim lights. I expolored the building, passing other doors to businesses, up the stairs, around the corner, down a hallway. I can see a male toilet, but no female. The key fits, I enter (regretting I did not bring my phone - I felt unsafe but badly needed to go). Pass the smelly urinal, 2 toilet stalls - one door does not lock, the other is blocked. No choice but to use the blocked one. I swear, it was the quickest wee I have ever done, all the time wondering if anyone else would enter. Owners - better instructions once inside the building to male and female toilets if they exist, and more lighting would make your customers feel safer. This was an awful experience.

10-04-2023 20:55While I was satisfied with dining in here last time (All you can eat), I wouldn’t recommend grabbing a takeaway beef bento box here. I’m not sure if the guy making my bento put the wrong sauce or if they changed the sauce, it’s absolutely inedible with the rice. It’s like it was drenched in soy sauce, it’s way too salty to eat. On previous occasions they used a different meat sauce, this time it was definitely soy sauce. The meat portion was too little as well. $20 for this is most definitely not worth it… For something with “wagyu premium” beef as the name, I was expecting something a lot more tender.

09-15-2023 04:01**edit 15 Apr 2022 Went again and there was tap water!! Top top commendation. Food and service was amazing as always! ---------- All the meat was very good Seaweed is always amazing $1 bottle water, reasonable?! Fair price for all you can eat, make sure to order enough serves. E.g. if 5 people, order 5 serves of Loin to get enough!

07-15-2023 00:18A little spot, so it can get quite crowded. But the food is so good so that's expected. Enjoyed the standard menu for dinner and it was great. The meat is really good quality and the sides are well done as well. The salad was more like coleslaw and more cabbage than anything. And I think we got the fan that didn't really work, so I did get smoke in my eyes once because they also leave the door open. Overall, really tasty, great value, great variety.

05-24-2023 19:15coming from sydney, i was loosing hope when i was finding a good all you can eat japanese barbecue place when visiting perth. i was so pleasantly shocked by the amazing food and service at gyu-en. marinated in soy, gyu-en serves the most tender and juicy waygu beef for the whole table to enjoy. we enjoyed the premium barbecue for just $65 and loved every bit !! only downside is the small restaurant gets quite smokey and can do with better ventilation. overall, a great hidden find for you to try with your friends and family.
