Quick, efficient check in Strong sewer smell in room Strong musty smell from the air con in room but aircon cold and quiet Empty tissue box in bathroom which remained empty even after housekeeping Cold, unappealing food for breakfast We ordered a pizza and chips at the Sixty5 bar, pizza arrived still half frozen, chips were really nice. Lovely bar maid reordered us another pizza, took ages to arrive but was nice and fully cooked ! The worst part, the noise on the Friday night was unbearable, the noise was coming for a neighbouring venue and it was so loud and went on so late. Why they put a family with two young kids in the room so close to the noise is beyond me. Spoke to the manager on the phone at 11pm who offered to move us to another room on the same floor, I couldn’t see the point in that. I’ve been told I need to wait until Monday until a senior manager is on duty. This hotel is right bang smack in the city centre, if your in Adelaide to party then this is the best place to stay. If you are travelling with young kids like us, then avoid this place at all costs.

When we reserved the room we selected car park u0026 breakfast ($32) extra a day. These were all additional to the room price. When we checked into the hotel, there were no spot available to park our car. u0026 would not give us our money back. When we called early in the morning to double check our breakfast reservations, she said it was not included in the room. Even though we paid for it. When we checked out we asked to see the payment charges u0026 they told us breakfast was included u0026 we would not be able to get a refund due to it being “ taken care of”. Overall great location for in the city, terrible hospitality.

The best place we have ever stayed at in Adelaide. The staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and parking is secure. It will certainly be our preferred accommodation from now on.

This hotel needs a makeover and refresh. The rooms are clean, but there was a strong drain odour from the bathroom. No minibar, but a huge microwave sitting on the desk. Staff were friendly, and it was mid range priced. The location is amongst the Hindley Street nightlife, with the police station next door. You could do worse, but also better.

Bed was very comfy, spa, sauna both nice. Got 12 noon check out which was appreciated. Pretty noisy from Hindley St though - needs better sound proofing

We recently held our annual conference at the Hotel Grand Chancellor (HGC). The HGC Events team went above and beyond to assist us in the lead up and during the event. Even when there had to be some last-minute changes the staff were responsive and helpful. The facilities were comfortable and the food was lovely. The staff team also stayed at HGC during the event and the rooms were lovely too. It certainly is an advantage to hold an event where there is comfortable accommodation available onsite. Thanks HGC Team!

Quick and efficient check in. Room was comfortable, quiet and very clean. Towels were nice and big but the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which I found odd. Security on the door all night which was great to see considering the location what it is. Parking was an actual nightmare but once we were in we didn't move the car until checkout. Overall a great stay :)

I was unfortunate to have my flight cancelled today. Qantas gave me accommodation here till my flight tomorrow. But wow, I am impressed with this magnificent hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is so clean, tidy and well kept. It looks new and luxurious. In the heart of Adelaide so easy to go anywhere from here. I had a meal in their restaurant. The food couldn't be faulted, it was really tasty and gave a great serving also. I did not leave hungry. Their is a front bar for food and drinks too. A gym, sauna, spa and pool, making it very hard for me to leave in the morning. , it easy to stay here, and have meetings as well. I truly recommend spending at least 2 nights here, it's such a wonderful place to have a holiday at, you won't be disappointed.
