Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street

My husband and I normally stay at Hampton Inns, but we thought we would give this hotel a try since it was a Hilton Hotel (Melbourne, Florida). I've always thought that the Hilton Hotels were supposed to be an upgrade over the Hampton Inns (which are very nice) since the Hilton owns the Hampton Inns. This was the second worst hotel room I've ever stayed. This was an old hotel that was renovated fifty percent 😳, at least in my king-size bedroom with a balcony and a view of the rooftop and a wall 🧱 . Not to mention, this was my upgraded room. I was supposed to have a regular king size bedroom with a window only. The toilet seat was wooden and very NASTY. You can see where the wood and paint had chipped over the years and light-yellowish color (urine) around the inner edges of the toilet seat. The toilet seat appears to be at least twenty years old. I refused to sit on the toilet seat when using the bathroom and used a tissue to flush it. I refused to touch any parts of this toilet that looked germy. I even sprayed it with my travel buddy, LYSOL. I checked Home Depot website and the average price for a toilet seat is around $25-$30. I'm pretty sure that the Hilton Hotel can afford to replace toilet seats. The bathroom sink had years of dirt and gunk around the faucets. Although, I must mention that the shower renovations were nice but it was really small. The actual room does not look like the pictures on the website. The wood furniture was old and chipped, including the bathroom sink. My room had a connecting door to the room next door. The hinges and door handles were very old with rust pitted spots and the door itself could use a paint job, especially around the edges on the floor that was dirty and nasty. This room had a funny smell liked it had a previous water issue. Really, we should have requested another room but we were tired after driving all day and didn't feel like going through any changes. We figured that it was only for 12 hours or so, we'll just stay in the room and never stay here again. BEWARE, Please make sure that you do not stay in room 201 at the Hilton Melbourne, Florida. The pictures on your website is false advertising. My reason for choosing your hotel were based on the pictures and reviews from other customers. I have been a Hilton Honors member for many years but this was not a pleasant experience. I reported this issue to the assistant manager during check out and suggested that they needed to replace the toilet seat and the appearance of the room was so so. She stated that she would get maintenance to look at it. The assistant manager didn't offer any apologies for my stay in this nasty room.

I've encountered multiple issues during my stay at this hotel, despite booking a premium room for three nights. The service quality is far below the expected standard of a five-star establishment. Communication with the reception has been challenging, with slow responses and the need to repeat myself multiple times. On the first day, immediately after paying the full amount for three days, I was informed there was no room at 10 am. This inconvenience was particularly frustrating as I needed access to the room for personal preparations. Returning at 10 pm, I discovered a broken iPhone charging cable. Despite my insistence, the reception claimed there was no cable, only a port, leading to a prolonged and unnecessary one-hour discussion. The air conditioner, allegedly fixed, continued making noise, persisting from 3 am to 12 pm without resolution. False assurances about the problem being fixed were given, and promises of the manager contacting me within 5 minutes went unfulfilled until much later, disrupting my sleep. The staff's persistence in calling and knocking on the door after I fell asleep further highlighted their lack of professionalism. This hotel's cost-effectiveness is shockingly low, representing the worst experience I've encountered in my travels. I highly advise against staying at this hotel. Beware and steer clear.
