Dr Tahrir Basheer

I was recently admitted to hospital with a burst ovarian cyst which needed an emergency operation late at night. I met Dr Basheer as I was being prepared and found her friendly, kind reassuring, all of which helped after a scary few hours in ED. When I was in the ward she made a point of advocating for my drain to be taken out as she knew it was causing me pain. She also rushed up many flights of stairs to see me when the lift was broken just because she knew I was struggling a lot with the recovery. Doctors work very long hours and at times can be short and to the point which some other reviewers seem to have forgotten. I knew that Dr Basheer was tired but she remained empathetic and human at all times. I can highly recommend her for any surgical procedures.

Dr. Basheer is amazing! She is gentle and kind and highly professional and full of empathy. I felt comfortable with her and trust her 100%. Most of all, she directed n diagnosed my symptoms accurately with her years of experience, and my agonising pelvic pain (due to multiple fibroids, a cyst, endometriosis) is nearly gone, as well as my cyst disappearing in my left ovary. I’m very happy and grateful with her. :)

Dr Basheer is professional, thorough and a kind gynaecologist. She partners with Shellharbour Hospital for surgeries. My surgery to remove a large cyst went great, and I feel like a new person. She saw me before the operation and made me feel at ease xxx She's highly experienced and knowledgeable, and makes sure you're doing okay and how to keep your health continuing at its best. She's not about a temporary fix, but about establishing a productive long-term plan for your health. Thank you Dr Basheer!

Dr Basheer was extremely thorough and professional in my experience. She was warm and compassionate throughout my pregnancy. She was available when ever I would need her and truely went above and beyond for me. I felt like she was family more the a doctor. Couldn’t be happier and highly recommend.

Dr Basheer deserves negative stars. She failed in her duty of care and was negligent when pushing me to have a surgery even after I told her I am alone at the moment and there is no one to care for me if something happens. Her response was to downgrade the risks involved. She is only concerned about making money. I was confused about the procedure and when I asked questions, she said that I am askign the same question again and she is tired. She is rude and arrogant and extremelly unprofessional. Does not give a damn about her patient. Just wants the money.

I have been contemplating writing this review/ what to say/ if I even bother since February this year. February I had my mirena IUD inserted by this woman, it was an extremely hot summers day the rooms had no aircon if so it wasn’t on. I was already extremely nervous as a young woman experiencing a procedure like this for the first time and I was exposed to poor bedside table manner, yelling, frustration and abandonment. While inserting my mirena she was yelling at me quite frustrated, instead of talking me through the process and comforting me. I passed out due to the heat, pain and uncomfortableness twice. In which I wasn’t met with care and compassion but with water being thrown on me. When I finally could get up the dr was no where to be seen. The receptionist also never took any emergency contact details/ personal details etc to contact if anything happened. It makes me sick knowing others have had similar experiences with her.

I am so grateful to Dr Bashir for her support of late. Dr Bashir took the time to present me with options and was patient enough to explain everything in simple terms and in detail. She was extremely thorough, professional u0026 compassionate. Surgery was such a success, everything from pre op, op and post op went like a dream and I will forever be thankful to this wonderful doctor! I cannot recommend Dr Bashir highly enough for anyone need a skilled, thorough and kind doctor.

Recently, I underwent a caesarean section with Dr. Tahrir, and I am incredibly grateful for her incredible kindness and remarkable humanity. she is without a doubt one of the most exceptional doctors I have encountered throughout my pregnancy treatment journey, which took a long time. I began my treatment plan with her in the middle of 2022, and now I am blessed with a beautiful baby girl cradled in my arms.
