Colmslie Hotel

We had drinks and dinner here, We enjoyed the rump steak with mushroom sauce, which was Devine. The garlic prawns has a main, it was perfect 🤤, great portion of prawns and cup of rice. The service was quick, and the venue is spacious, stunning plant decor and large tv on display. Comfortable sitting and plenty of pool tables.

Very average experience here tonight. Service started off ok, but got progressively worse to the point we had to chase waiters up for things. Not overly polite service. Meals were pretty boring, missing a little something. Calamari was tough, Guiness pie boring. Desert (sticky dates) were clearly from a packet, confirmed by my wife biting into a shard of plastic container. Overall, pretty disappointing. Kids had a ball running around in the playground though!

Had my sisters surprise 25th here last night and hired one of the spaces out. The food was incredible and the space was beautiful but above all, Gabby was so helpful and lovely with our event. Such a friendly person and made us feel reassured that everything would go smoothly. Thank you Gabby!

We dine at least once a week in the restaurant. The service is fantastic, Sheree and her team run a tight ship, and their attention to our needs is always spot on. They know what we drink, and when we give the OK the drinks arrive promptly. The menu Specials change weekly and are always great value. All meals are of a terrific size. Fresh produce and attention given to the plating of meals. We've learnt to bring our appetites:). The floor and bar staff are terrific, great attitude, hell bent on seeing everyone is served promptly. I'm yet to hear anyone complain about the staff or service. I used to be in hospitality, so my radar is always on high alert wherever we eat. I know Sheree would be rapid to rectify any issue if we brought one to her attention. The Colmslie is a pleasant surprise. It is in a busy and convenient part of Brisbane - not far from the city, the airport and freeway and next to Coles and a servo. But once you get into the hotel rooms it is like an oasis, very quiet, very comfortable and VERY spacious room, modern, recently appointed with good bed and pillows, coffee machine, good TV and excellent large bathroom. The rooms are separate from the hotel, so no noise at all, even though there is a good restaurant, sports bar and gaming room. Service was friendly and welcoming. Price was perhaps a little on the high side at $250pn but you can get cheaper if you book earlier than we did. I think for that price, for a suburban hotel, that breakfast should be included. Free car parking and easy check in. Food at the restaurant was good too. The hotel has a good vibe about it. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Dinner at the Comslie hotel in past years always was a delight, however the quality of food served was average, the service from one staff member was disgusting. In this modern era of food one must be at the tip of their game consider what is on offer in the market place. Would I eat there again, if the executive chef allows sub standard food to leave the kitchen then no. There is no excuse considering what we are now asked to pay for food.

This place is awesome! The beds are extremely comfortable, the service was outstanding, dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, check in and out was easy, parking was plentiful and location just perfect. The garden area with the big screen was a favourite! Perfect place to have a Sunday drink with friends. All round awesome place and will definitely be staying there again.

Great pub here! Rick and his team really do go over and above for service. Mrs had the special and was super impressed. My Eye fillet was cooked spot on. We had a Bub with us, meant a lot Rick and his staff tabled us away from the crowds for some quiet. Very thoughtful. Another review if I could give 10 stars I would 👌🙏
