Was walking around the area u0026 stumbled upon this little restaurant. Service was friendly u0026 we got our food pretty fast. It got much busier as we were there. Ramen u0026 Udon were yummy u0026 price was quite standard. Quite cramped indoors u0026 warm on a hot day.

Beautiful Japanese food. We’ve been quite a few times now. Most recently (pictured) my partner and I had tempura vegetables and prawns, teriyaki salmon and sashimi. 10/10, will be back again and again 😊

Fresh and healthy blend of ingredients, generous portion sizing. Tasted delicious. The grilled salmon poke bowl really hit the spot.

Poke Bowl kann ich empfehlen. Frisch und lecker. Das Sushi wurde leider in Sauce ertränkt und hat es nicht überlebt… das Lachs Teriyaki war geschmacklich gut aber war leider viel zu ölig, so hat man jede Leichtigkeit vermisst.

Poke bowls are large, fresh and delicious. These are a regular lunch option for me. Tried their ramen for the first time and was pleasantly surprised for such a small kitchen. It was hot and tasty, with a good balance of flavours and toppings, but not as rich or authentic as others. A great option on a cold day though. Always good, fast service at this little hole in the wall.

Really impressed by this tiny little restaurant that punches well above its weight. The rolls were well crafted with beautifully fresh fish. Food comes out quite quickly as well! Not many places can do both sushi and tempura but the tempura was of a very high standard too. I thought it was fairly priced given the quality of the food. After Raku (which is more fancy and expensive) this is my go to place to get Japanese food.

Despite the cramped indoor setting, the staff manage to maintain a friendly and attentive demeanor. While there may be a slight language barrier, it doesn't hinder the overall experience. This restaurant is not your regular sushi roll venue. If you order sushi here, expect a full, proper service of the dish you've chosen. This unique approach adds to the appeal of the place, reflecting a commitment to quality and authenticity. In terms of the overall experience, Kan Sushi u0026 Poke earns a solid 7 out of 10. While the venue has its quirks and the pricing might be on the higher side, the quality of the food and the attentive service make it worth a visit. If you're in Civic and in the mood for a sushi experience that's a step above the ordinary, Kan Sushi u0026 Poke is worth a try. It's a place I'd happily return to, and it might just become a regular spot for sushi lovers seeking something special.

Impressed how generous and fast they are with their sushi making skills (we ordered a small sushi+sashimi combo). They were accommodating when we asked to deviate from the menu slightly. The Udon soup was fast and delicious. Gyoza was Korean style and wasn't what I was expecting. Still a great place to stop by for a quick dinner between the snow and Sydney.
